Good day to all the beautiful flowers out there!
Today's post will be about a reflection of my process on blogging.
My process of blogging is very simple. At first I was lost because I'm not very good with using technology. Therefore I had to ask for help. At the end of the day it was so easy due to my friends because they were very eager to help me. Blogging also helped me to use the technology because if it wasn't for the blogging task I wouldn't have known about this wonderful idea of conveying information to others.
Blogging is very nice especially because you as a teacher can use it to convey information to learners or on any other subject.
I hope you enjoy your day and take care of yourselves.

Why I think social media should be integrated in the classroom
Morning everybody!
Today's post will be about whether I think social media should be be integrated in the classroom and how I can use it to make me a better teacher.
Well I think it should be integrated in the classroom because of the following reasons:
1. Learners love technology and will automatically be interested in the topic that will be done
2. More information will be available on topics beacause the learners will make use of the internet
3. The learners will not only my voice but they will also see because I can play them a videoclip that integrades with the topic
I think it will make me a better teacher because at the end of the day I will also know more information because of the use of the internet. Therefore, not only it will be beneficiary for the learners but for me as well.
Have a good day!

How Teaching practice changed my idea of how I see myself as a teacher
Morning everybody. I hope all of you are doing well. Today's post will be about how teaching practice changed my idea of how I see myself as a teacher.
At the beginning I thought I will be the teacher nobody will like because I'm a very soft person and does not easily say how I feel about certain things. At a certain point in teaching practice I had to look after a class for a while and the learners was not well behaved. I had to make them quiet and made sure they behaved themselves. I was actually surprised because I didn't know that I can talk so loud and in one second's time they were quiet and I was amazed because I really didn't know I had the ability to make learners realize that they are in a place where teaching should take place and not make a noise that the roof almost lifted up
May you all have a good day and take this post as a lesson to make it part of your life.

How I see myself as a teacher
Good morning everybody!
Today's post will be about how I see myself as a teacher. I see myself as one of teachers whom learners can look up to and say: " I also want to be like that teacher." Due to my characteristics I see myself as a teacher that will walk the extra mile for my learners. A teacher that will be academically involved with the learners but also be there for them for anything they need even if it is just a hug to make the learner feel better or just listen if he/she wants to open their hearts and talk about what bothers them.
I see myself as a teacher that will constantly make learners aware to dream and belief in themselves and always try to make the best of any situation they may find themselves in.
I really hope that you will be inspired by this post and make it part of your life!

Why I want to be a teacher and the characteristics of a "good" teacher
Good day to all the beautiful flowers out there! I really hope all of you are doing well and has been looking out for my next post. Well today's post will be about why I want to be a teacher and the characteristics of a good teacher.
The reason why I want to be a teacher is because of the love I have for children. Not only that but I also love to convey information to people and makes me happy to see that they understand what I explained to and told to them. I believe I have a passion for teaching because during the teaching practice that I experienced made me realize this is where I want to be.
A good teacher must also have ertain characteristics that they have to meet and they are as follow:
1. A great teacher respects students: This teacher values each and everybody's ideas and opinions. Studens feel safe to express their feelings and learn to respect and listen to others. This teacher also creates a welcoming learning environment for all students.
2. A great teacher creates a sense of community and belonging in the classroom: The mutual respect in this teacher's classroom provides a supportive, collaborative environment. In this small community, there are rules to follow and jobs to be done and each student is aware that he/she is an important, integral part of the group. A great teacher lets students know that they can depend not only on him/her, but also on the entire class.
3. A great teacher is warm, accessible, enthusiastic and caring: This person is approachable, not only to students, but to everybody on the school. This is the teacher to whom students know they can go with any problems or concerns or even share a funny story. Great teachers possess good listening skills and take time out of their way-too-busy schedules for anyone who needs them. If this teacher is having a bad day, no one ever knows- the teacher leaves personal baggage outside the school doors.
4.A grea teacher sets high expectations for all learners: This teacher realizes that the expectations she/he has for their students greatly affect their achievements, she/he knows that students generally gives to teachers as much or as little as is expected of them
5.A great teacher has his own love of learning and inspires students with his passion for education and for the course material. He constantly renews himself as a professional on his quest to provide students with the highest quality of education possible. This teacher has no fear of learning new teaching strategies or incorporating new technologies into lessons, and always seems to be the one who is willing to share what he’s learned with colleagues.
6. A great teacher is a skilled leader. Different from administrative leaders, effective teachers focus on shared decision-making and teamwork, as well as on community building. This great teacher conveys this sense of leadership to students by providing opportunities for each of them to assume leadership roles
7. A great teacher can “shift-gears” and is flexible when a lesson isn’t working. This teacher assesses his teaching throughout the lessons and finds new ways to present material to make sure that every student understands the key concepts
8. A great teacher collaborates with colleagues on an ongoing basis. Rather than thinking of herself as weak because she asks for suggestions or help, this teacher views collaboration as a way to learn from a fellow professional. A great teacher uses constructive criticism and advice as an opportunity to grow as an educator
9. A great teacher maintains professionalism in all areas—from personal appearance to organizational skills and preparedness for each day. Her communication skills are exemplary, whether she is speaking with an administrator, one of her students or a colleague. The respect that the great teacher receives because of her professional manner is obvious to those around her.
I really hope, trust and believe that teachers but also learners who wants to be teachers will benfit from this post. Have a good day my beautiful flowers!

Introduction into my floral world
Hi everybody!
I'm Damian Albertus and I'm a FET Education student at Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Wellington. My majors are Economics, Business Studies and Mathematical Literacy. I'm an Education student not just because I love to work with people or convey new knowledge to them but to see learners progress, see them learn something and make it part of their daily lives.
This blog of mine will be about flowers!!! How they look like, how they grow but most important how to take care of them. Flowers are one of the topics people don`t want to talk about because they do not find it interesting but after reading this blog I can assure you that your knowledge about flowers will expand and that flowers will be the topic you will talk about forever.
